Set in 1956, The Entertainer is the story of the Rice family struggling to survive in a post-war Britain and Archies only escape from reality is the world of comedy and song on the stage. The play became the famous 1960 film with Laurence Olivier, who was nominated for an Oscar playing the role of Archie.Rhyl Liberty Players are presenting The Entertainer with live cabaret and comedy routines. The world of vaudeville is brought back to life set against a backdrop of private tragedy. It promises to be an absorbing piece of theatre.
