The story of two greats of 19th century golf, Tom Morris (Mullan) and his son Tommy (Lowden), their often stormy relationship, and Tommy's passion for local lass Meg (Lovibond). Unimaginative and superficial biopic, hampered by its low production values and shallow characterisation.

An intimate and powerfully moving tale of the real-life founders of the modern game of golf.

Based on the powerfully moving true story of the dynamic father-son team who ushered in the modern game of golf - ‘Old’ Tom and ‘Young’ Tommy Morris. Tommy’s talent and fame grew to outshine his father’s place in the sport. However his personal life was stormy and ultimately led him to rebel against the aristocracy who gave him many opportunities and the parents who shunned his relationship with his wife.
