Icare (Schlatter) is a nine year old boy who gets placed in an orphanage after the death of his alcoholic mother. Charming but profound stop-motion animated tale, skilfully adapted by Celine Sciamma (Girlhood) from Gilles Paris's novel; the kids' candid discussions about adult topics shows how much they have been through, yet it can be enjoyed by younger audiences.
