Ted Wallace (Allam) is a failed poet and bitter crtic who is asked by an old friend to investigate miracle cures on a country estate. A half-hearted mixture of Poirot-like sleuthing, Wodehouse-styloe hijinks and slapstick, only partially redeemed by Allam’s ebullient performance as the withering Ted.
