My Cousin Rachel
- 1h 46min
- Directed by: Roger Michell
- Cast: Sam Claflin, Rachel Weisz, Holliday Grainger
A young Englishman plots revenge against his mysterious, beautiful cousin, believing that she murdered his guardian. But his feelings become complicated as he finds himself falling under the beguiling spell of her charms. Weisz is a fine choice for the eponymous enigma, while Claflin is superb as her heedless admirer Philip but the film feels desperately abbreviated.

In this new adaptation of the Daphne du Maurier gothic mystery novel a young man named Philip (Sam Claflin) inherits a Cornish estate from his guardian. There he finds himself drawn to the title character, played by Oscar winner Rachel Weisz, but his feelings become extremely complicated when evidence arises which suggests she may have killed his guardian and be planning a similar fate for Philip himself. An unusually tense costume drama. From the Director of Enduring Love and Le Week-end.
