Rural Life Vintage Revival 2018 will be taking place over the weekend of 1st and 2nd September 2018 at The Rural Life Centre, Tilford near Farnham in Surrey.
After the successful inaugural Revival in September 2017 the event is back for a second year! This year's event will be bigger and better and will include some features from 2017 as well as some new ones with more live music, makeovers, a vintage photo studio, food, a bar and plenty of stalls embracing the 1940s and 50s era.
We will be kicking off the weekend on the evening of Friday 31st August with an all weather, open air screening of the classic romantic comedy, ‘Some Like it Hot’, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, doors open at 7.30pm and the film will start at 8.30pm. Music will be provided by The Dustbowl Sinners, The Boot Heel Playboys, Amanda Jane, Steve Conway, Ed Hopwood, The Riverboat Ramblers, The Wield Glenn Miller Band and some special guests.
Paula’s Vintage Parlour will be returning to offer makeovers and she will be running vintage hairstyle workshops over the weekend also. Paul Fitchett will be on hand to finish off the makeover experience to take portraits in his retro photo studio. Alongside all of this, there will be a host of stalls selling a wealth of vintage miscellanea, clothes, jewellery and much more.
On Friday 31st August, there will be an outdoor, all weather screening of Some Like it Hot, doors open 7.30pm. On Saturday 1st September, there will be a rock 'n' roll evening dance with music from The Roosters, doors open 7pm. Tickets available on 01252 795571.
