Thurgood Marshall (Boseman), chief counsel for the NAACP, has to defend a black man accused of the rape and attempted murder of his white employer. Boseman has charisma to burn as the future first African-American US Supreme Court Judge, and he has likeable chemistry with Gad as the nebbish lawyer who assists him. Highly satisfying true-life courtroom drama.
