The American west, 1892: gruff cavalry captain Joseph Blocker (Bale) is charged with escorting his old adversary Chief Yellow Hawk (Studi) and his family to their tribal lands. Despite notable work from Studi and from Adam Beach as his son, the Native Americans seem like they’re there to engineer the redemption of the white characters; still, it’s sincere and thought-provoking.
