Bizet's classic French opera stars Anna Goryachova in Barrie Kosky's intense production.
The young soldier Don José intends to marry Micaëla, a girl from his home village. But when he meets the sensual and fiercely independent Carmen, he sacrifices everything to be with her.
Carmen grows bored of Don José and falls in love with Escamillo. Unable to bear her leaving him, Don José tracks Carmen down and murders her.
Doors open at 5.45pm, and the screening commences at 6.45pm. You are purchasing a seat in the stalls area (downstairs) at the venue, but seating is unallocated. There is no parking at the Picture House, but town has several car parks and on street parking near to the cinema. We are a cash only venue, and do not accept cards.
