Executive produced by Martin Scorsese, this is a moving tale about Pio, a fourteen-year-old boy who has to negotiate life on the edge of society.

Set in a Calabrian Romani community in Italy, Pio is keen to be seen as grown up and in control, but when his brother is sent to prison, he reluctantly assumes a new position as head of the family. As his efforts to gain ground increasingly lead down a dangerous path, he must choose between loyalty to his family or his friends.

Italian with English subtitles.
